PET INSURANCE

Pet Insurance, like pets themselves, is a growing business! You probably recognize names of companies like VPI, Veterinary Pet Insurance, or Pet Health which have been selling pet insurance for several years.

There are now at least six other new Pet Insurance companies with many different kinds of health care plans for your pets. Plans range from very simple plans, like those provided by PetFirst, to ones you can design to meet your individual pet’s needs from Embrace and Petplan U.S,

There are also some large companies involved in the pet insurance business now. The AKC has pet insurance plans that are sold by PetPartners. The ASPCA has plans sold by Hartville Insurance. A couple of other names you will recognize include PURINA which has created their own insurance agency to sell pet insurance. They’ve been selling pet insurance in Canada since 2007. And, finally Kroger food stores has a store display which carries personal finance products and one of those products is pet insurance.
