The Crazy Pet Children’s Foundation

Background of Grant Offering

Image holder

The Crazy Pet Children’s Foundation’s Grant program was established in 2009 by Tony de Vos to provide Grants to existing Children’s Educational Foundations, Animal Foundations or 501 [c] (3) Non-Profit Organizations that have a program to teach children about pet care and offer hands-on experiences with animals that will provide character-building opportunities and incorporate the use of the Foundation’s “Characters Building Character” program through the use of the “Back Bones of Character” worksheets, artwork, stories, song, books or lesson plans.

The CPCF awards Grant money to programs that meet the above criteria to use for scholarships. The scholarships should be provided to children that cannot afford some or all of the costs of attending and can therefore be considered scholarship candidates or scholarship recipients. The fund is administered by the Crazy Pet Children’s Foundation; a non-profit corporation dedicated to use its well-known cartoon characters and its trademarked “Characters Building Character” program based on the “Back Bones of Character” to help develop strong character values in children through their caring for pets.

Research by the CPCF has found that having a pet or caring for an animal develops sympathy, empathy & caring; promotes contributing to society; encourages dependability; fosters fairness; creates respect for people and animals and assists children in developing confidence and having the courage to act on their beliefs. These are the “Back Bones” of the Crazy Pet program.
